Be Made Clean

This quote from Mark Chapter 1 is from one of my favorite narratives in the Gospels.  Jesus knows that we are unclean, that we are broken, that we are injured.  He knows these things, and his heart is moved with pity for us.  Our sadness is His sadness, and He wills for us to be made clean, to be made whole.  But we have to go to Him.  At every Mass, at every confession, and every day in prayer, we have to go to Him and ask him to make us clean, whole, and holy.  Surrender to his mercy and love.  Above all, be patient. Wholeness takes time, but nothing is impossible for God.
